Just in case you notice the Health category is new to the report card. Health grades in previous years were included as part of the science grade. Health is still taught in the science class, but the grade is put separately into Powerschool.
You may have noticed that there are only a few grades for 1st and 2nd quarter because there must be quarterly grade in every subject to generate a cumulative grade at the end of the year. The remainder of the objectives will be taught in 3rd and 4th quarter.

Multiplication timed drills START WED. JAN. 7, 2015.
Your students should have brought home their multiplication facts to study. Please make sure they are studying their facts nightly. The students will be assessed on each fact starting with 1's and going up to 12's. It will consist of a 50 problem in 3 minutes. Once they have missed no more than 5 on any given drill they will advance to the next fact. Our goal is for them to master all their facts by a set date. Start studying using flash cards or perhaps a multiplication drill app. We will keep you posted on exact start and finish date.
